چکیده

Az Antichloris eriphia (Fabricius, 1777) (Lepidoptera: Erebidae) nőstény imágóját gyűjtötték 1986-ban egy raktárépületben, feltehetően banánszállítmánnyal érkezett. Elpusztult Cissura decora Walker, 1854 imágót találtak Észak-Magyarországon, alkatrészeket tartalmazó csomagban. Virágokon szívogató Siproeta epaphus (Latreille, 1813) Nymphalidae) hím példányt figyeltek meg, majd gyűjtöttek be a budapesti Margit-szigeten. A lepke valószínűleg Fővárosi Állat- és Növénykert lepkeházából szökött meg. bizonyítópéldányok Magyar Természettudományi Múzeum Lepkegyűjteményében kerültek elhelyezésre. kimutatott fajok neotropikus régióban honosak, megtelepedésük Európában valószínűtlen, ezért nem tekinthetők hazai fauna tagjainak. Speyeria (Lepidoptera: Nymphalidae) Conservation

Speyeria (Nymphalidae) are a conspicuous component of the North American butterfly fauna. There are approximately 16 species and >100 associated subspecies (or geographical variants). Speyeria are univoltine, occupy a wide range of habitats, overwinter as first instar larvae, and feed only on native violets. Speyeria species have become a model group for studies of evolution, speciation, and co...

Phylogeny of the Nymphalidae (Lepidoptera).

A generic-level phylogeny for the butterfly family Nymphalidae was produced by cladistic analysis of 234 characters from all life stages. The 95 species in the matrix (selected from the 213 studied) represent all important recognized lineages within this family. The analysis showed the taxa grouping into six main lineages. The basal branch is the Libytheinae, with the Danainae and Ithomiinae on...

Revision of the genus Heteranassa Smith, 1899 (Lepidoptera, Erebidae, Omopterini)

Heteranassa Smith (Erebidae, Omopterini), native to the southwestern United States and Mexico, includes two recognized species, namely Heteranassa mima (Harvey) and Heteranassa fraterna Smith. These are separated mainly by subtle differences in wing color and pattern, leading to speculation about the validity of the described species. This study examines variation in external and internal morph...

A new species Chrysorithrum duda (Lepidoptera: Erebidae) from China.

A new noctuid moth, Chrysorithrum duda sp. n., from southwest China is described. Previously the genus Chrysorithrum (Butler 1878) included two species with eastern Palaearctic and Manchurian distributions. The new species differs in appearance, genitalia and DNA from its congeners Chrysorithrum flavomaculata (Bremer) and Chrysorithrum amata (Bremer & Grey). Nomenclature used here follows Draud...

Immature stages of Adelpha malea goyama Schaus (Lepidoptera: Nymphalidae, Limenitidinae).

The immature stages of Adelpha malea goyama Schaus are described from the Estação Ecol6gica do Caiuá, Paraná State, Brazil. The species uses the native liana Arrabidaea mutabilis Bur. & K. Schum. (Bignoniaceae) as larval hostplant in the study site. Isolated eggs are laid on leaf tips, and are similar in shape to those described for other species of Adelpha Hübner. Larvae pass through five stad...
